2. Make a crease by folding from corner to corner. Unfold. | 3. Fold right edge to left and unfold, then make horizontal crease by folding top to bottom. | 4. Mountain fold corner-to-corner. (Fold the corners back so the blue side of corner b touches the blue side of corner c. Crease and unfold. | |||

| 5. Bring corners "b" to "c" together, while pushing "a" & "d" inside. The paper should form a diamond shape as shown. Flatten. Return to step 8 on main page or continue here. | 6. Fold edge and point "e" and then point "f"
to center using a "paper airplane fold." Crease the top as shown. 
 Unfold all.  | 
7.  Open paper enough to tuck point
 "e" inside at the crease. Repeat with point "f." Turn paper over.  | 
8.  Crease "g" and "h," as shown in step
6, then open paper enough to tuck these points inside as shown in
 step 7.  |

| 9.  Fold  bottom corner "b" up
 as far as it will go.  | 
10. Notice that points "e" and "f" now make the the center intersection line. | 11.  Turn the paper over and
fold point "c" up.  Note that corners "b" & "c" are
 face-to-face while "a" & "d" are edge-to edge. This shape is called a "bird base." Return to Step 13 on the main page to continue folding a crane.  |
