11/23/08 Fishing at Baum Lake has been very good, with fish up to 11 pounds being landed. Lures, flies and bait
are all working well.
BAUM LAKE - BWO's, griffith's gnat for dries, while copper johns in green, Don's bug, midges, wooly buggers
are doing well for nymph fishermen. Lure fishermen are doing well on just about anything. Bait fishermen still
doing best on crawlers or powerbait.
CASSEL- Closed until April 25, 2009.
LAKE BRITTON - No current reports.
Wild trout section of HAT CREEK - Closed until April 25, 2009.
PIT RIVER - Remains OPEN to ZERO KILL, BARBLESS HOOKS, ARTIFICALS ONLY from Lake Britton Dam,
downstream to Shasta Lake. Black AP's, golden stones, rubber-leg prince are all doing very well. Good reports in the
Pit 5 area.
FALL RIVER - Closed until April 25, 2009.
