The pic. on the left is the fish we caught the first day that my friend introduced me to his early season Smallmouth. As I had said the range was 1 1/2 to 4 lbs. The Pic. on the right is two days later when my other friend and I went to a spot on the river we usually fish to try our luck at what I learned from Tom. As you can see the size range was slightly smaller 1 to 2 lbs. but we each had our limit in less than an hour and a great day of fishing.
