I hear a song that is played all day long

It has a beat, a rhythm and rhyme
and its in there that you will certainly find

an emotion so powerful and deep
its one i find that i want to hold and keep

there is not word, sonnet, or song
that can hold this feeling for very long

it washes over me, wave after wave
and it echoes like sound in a cave

Like the blossoming flowers in spring
with the growth and life it brings

Like a softly babbling country brook
softly like the summer rain on the roof

It soothes me and also gives me comfort
This powerful emotion i feel in my heart

As the sun kisses the trees and sky
and the water and land below lie

Prayer, Love, Honesty, Faithfulness
Friendship, Trust, Willingness

I am but a man, mortal and weak
but in you I find what my heart seeks

I can't offer anything, but love
as pure as snow and peaceful as a dove

With all i have, with all my heart
