THE ALPINE COUNTRIES OF EUROPE
$3,995
Come with us to explore Europe’s most picturesque
countries: Austria, Germany (Bavaria) and Switzerland. Our exciting tour begins
with travel from Lake Havasu City to Los Angeles where we’ll overnight at an LAX
area hotel and enjoy dinner together. The next day, we’ll fly to Vienna, Austria
to begin our European adventure. Enjoy a special tour of Vienna and it’s
architectural marvels including the incredible Schoenbrunn Palace and St
Stephen’s Cathedral. We’ll experience a lovely cruise on the Danube before
arriving in Salzburg, known as the “City of Music”. We’ll be treated to a Mozart
Dinner Concert and a walking tour of Salzburg the next morning. We then travel
to Munich where we’ll see the Olympic Park and the famous Glockenspiel. Later
that day, we’ll travel to the quaint village of Oberammergau, renowned for the
Passion Play offered again in 2010. The next day, we’ll enjoy the scenery of the
spectacular Bavarian Alps en route to enchanting Innsbruck. A leisurely-paced
walking tour will highlight the cobblestone streets and landmarks of Innsbruck
before we return to Oberammergau for a second night. The Black Forest is our
next destination where we’ll visit Bavaria’s most famous castle, Neuschwanstein
(pictured left). Other stops in the Black Forest will afford opportunities to
shop for cuckoo clocks and Hummel figurines.
When we enter Switzerland, we first tour Bern then we visit one of the
most photographed castles in the world, the Chateau de Chillon, located on Lake
Geneva. We end the day in the village of Zermatt in the Swiss Alps, where we
stay for two nights. After spectacular travel through Grimsel Pass, our final
destination is the “Swiss Paradise on the Lake”, the city of Lucerne. With great
memories of the Alpine Countries, our return flight to Los Angeles leaves the
