DEATH VALLEY & SCOTTY’S
CASTLE
$495
The
beauty of the desert in Death Valley National Park is breathtaking! We’ll stay
at Furnace Creek Ranch right in Death Valley both nights. Within the complex of
Furnace Creek Ranch is the U S Borax Museum, with stories and pictures of the
borax mines and the famous 20-mule teams. See old mining equipment, trains and
an actual wagon pulled by the mule teams. Enjoy a special guided tour of the
Lower Valley and an elegant lunch at the historic Furnace Creek Inn (1923).
We’ll browse the Visitor’s Center and have dinner at the little settlement of
Stove Pipe Wells. Our third morning we’ll have a guided tour of the fabulous
Scotty’s Castle, completed in 1931. National Park Rangers dress in the style of
1939 and guide us through the “castle” as though Scotty still presided over the
desert mansion. We’ll also visit Rhyolite, a true Nevada ghost town after we
leave Death Valley. Call or email for space availability.
Included:
All transportation, lodging, all tours and admissions, 1 breakfast, 2
lunches, 3 dinners.
