April 14-16, 2009 (3 days)
SEDONA, VERDE CANYON TRAIN plus OUT OF AFRICA
$495
After a morning departure
from Lake Havasu City, we’ll stop for a stroll and lunch on your own in the
fascinating ghost town of Jerome, then continue on for some free time in Sedona.
After check-in at our Cottonwood hotel, we’ll have a leisurely dinner in a
nearby restaurant. The next morning we’ll head to Camp Verde and the new Out of
Africa Wildlife Park. Here we’ll see over 400 animals from all over the world.
We’ll board a
special
open-air bus for the Serengeti Safari tour which takes us “up close and
personal” to many of the animals. After a special box lunch we’ll sit down for
the “Tiger Splash” and watch tigers
and their handlers romp and play in a large swimming pool. This evening, we’ll
visit the Blazing M Ranch for dinner and a western musical show. The next
morning we’ll board the Verde Canyon Train in Clarkdale for a 4-hour, 40 mile
ride along the Verde River through beautiful Verde Canyon. You can enjoy the
view from your coach seat or walk outside to the open gondola cars for the
refreshing breeze and the panoramic vista. We’ll enjoy a box lunch as we take in
the beauty from the train, then we’ll board our bus to return to Havasu.
