Lake Havasu City. Jewel of the Desert. An Oasis in the middle of no where. That pretty much sums it up. The first time I ever saw Lake Havasu City was in 1974. The town was all of ten years old and looked it. Nearly every road was dirt and there was not that many at that. Needless to say, I was not overly impressed with the place. Over time, I kind of 'warmed up' to Lake Havasu City. It really is a nice place to live [if you can stand the heat]. Many of the Locals say that the addition of the London Bridge really made this town. Perhaps that's so.

Who runs the town? Find out in Who are WE. Who comes to visit with us? Find out with Who are YOU. What's the deal with the London Bridge, our Tourist Attraction. Ever wonder about the stuff that the Tourists never hear? That's the Local Dirt. What is it really like - spending a whole Summer here? Get the scoop in the Desert Diary. What about the Lake itself ? The locals refer to it as 'their' Lake. What about the River? Get your Lake [or River] info here.
