Hartsel Bryant's Home Page
Hi!  Welcome to Hartsel Bryant's Home Page.
 |
Well hello!  What a small world.
Imagine seeing you here!  Thank you for visiting my little corner of the globe.   Hopefully you'll find something of interest here.   If nothing else, maybe you'll find some useful links. |
Well, let me introduce myself.   My name is Hartsel Estel Bryant.
I was born on a rainy Saturday, July 27, 1963.   I was raised in the southern most county of beautiful, wild and wonderful
West Virginia in McDowell County.   I currently live in the city of Welch, WV.
I grew up in the small town of Iaeger, WV where I attended grades 1-5 at Iaeger Elementary.
I then attended grades 6-8 at Iaeger Intermediate School.   I completed grades 9-12 and graduated from Iaeger High School in 1981.   Hello to all my classmates!   I sure wish we could turn back time.
I started working at Stevens Clinic Hospital on March 25, 1982 as an orderly.   I performed patient care and housekeeping duties.   My supervisor was Fred Odum and I thank him for giving me the opportunity to start my journey in life under his wing.
I met my wife while working at Stevens Clinic.   We actually graduated the same year from the same school but had never before spoken.   Her name is Belinda Zane Duty.   She was born on September 8, 1963.   We were married July 19, 1984.   We have a genius of a son named Dustin Hartsel Bryant.
He was born September 3, 1986.   Please visit his web page.   As of this update he is attending Mount View High School.
Stevens Clinic closed to the public in December, 1987.   I continued to work for them through May 31, 1988.   I was then employed by Hall Chevrolet-Olds-Geo, Inc.  on October 6, 1988.   I was the Assistant Service Manager and Warranty Administrator until January 10, 1994.   The dealership was then taken over by the Ramey's of Mercer County.
The new dealership was named Action Automotive, Inc.  beginning January 11, 1994.   I worked under the same title.   Besides Chevrolet, Geo and Oldsmobile, we also sold and serviced Pontiac, Buick, GMC, Chrysler, Plymouth and Dodge.   This dealership also closed down.   My last date of employment at Action was November 1, 1996.
I then worked part-time for Bob Payne Insurance from April 11, 1997 through August, 1997.
(Thank you Bob for helping through a difficult time).
I then went on to accept a job at Radio Shack in the Mercer Mall as a Salesmaker.   I stayed there from September 3, 1997 until November 26, 1997.
I then moved on to Magic Mart where I began working as a Stock Clerk on December 1, 1997.
I was hired by Deon Lester.   I became a cashier and sales clerk in the Electronics Department in January 1998.   I took Assistant Manager training in April of 1998.   I was promoted to Department Head of the Electronics Department in July, 1998, but it was short-lived.   I was informed the very next day that a position in management was open if I wished to take it.
I continued as an Assistant Manager until I quit on March 15, 2001.
I began employment on March 16, 2001 as an Economic Services Worker with the WV Department of Health and Human Resources in Welch, WV.   I interviewed clients for eligibility for Food Stamps and Medicaid and other Emergency Assistance programs.   But I decided to move on, and my last day there was February 27, 2004.
I miss everyone there, and would like to send out a special hello to the ol' lunch gang, Debbie S., Pam C., Cathy E., Katrina H., Greta P. & Dwight M.!
I started working at Welch Community Hospital on March 1, 2004.   I work in the File Room in Medical Records.   This hospital was formerly known as Welch Emergency Hospital, Welch Emergency Hospital No. 1 & Miner's Hospital No. 1.
I would also like to say hello to all of my friends and co-workers from all of the many places I have worked.   I miss each and every one of you and hope you are all doing well!   Thanks to anyone taking the time to stop by my page.   Drop me a line some time!.
Dustin, Belinda & Hartsel, March, 2001
Peace and love to all.  Pray for the day when there will be no more September 11th's.   Take care of one another and thank you for stopping by.  Please drop in again soon.

victims have fallen into my web (page)!
Try reloading the page for random music!
Or choose one of my favorite songs from the list below!
After you pick a song, a small window will open.
Just be patient while the song loads.
Hartsel's Jukebox
Please note that there appears to be a problem with the operation of this jukebox in Windows XP.   When the page first loads, a random song will play.   But once you select a song from the drop-down menu, the new player window will load
but the song will not play!   When I originally started using this jukebox, I had tested it in Windows 95 (a & b) & Windows 98 using both Internet Explorer & Netscape Navigator browsers.   It worked perfect until I got my new computer
running WinXP & Internet Explorer 6.0.   I have spoke with others who report the same problem using the same operating system.   If anyone has any suggestions or ideas on what could possibly be wrong, please let me know.   Thanks.
Two days after I posted the above message, I upgraded my Windows Media Player 8 to Windows Media Player 9 & now the jukebox works again, at least on my system!
