Please understand that this is a diploma from the State of Connecticut Board of Education, not some NY BOCES program... (That's where the state of New York stuffs students that are failing the academic programs.) This was an advanced school that was full of the top 3 or 4 students from each grade school throughout the region. Your grade school teachers had to recommend you for this placement. For each trade at this school, the academic programs were centered on that trade. E.G.: For Math, Electronics shop was focused on electronic formulas. Carpentry - geometry and building related formulas. For Blue-Print reading Electronics shop drew schematics for projects they were working on in the Electronics class. Carpentry drew building plans. etc. etc.
I consider this Diploma equivalent to a 3 year degree at an accredited institution. Unfortunately, since it was an advanced program in a secondary school and I was still a minor, my Beer-Pong skills were never developed.
