I kept looking at all the lakes in Fairfield Glade, TN, and wishing that he had a boat. After a few attempts at buying a used boat, I decided to build one myself. I went to the internet and found several plans. The one that I chose was the 'Cajun Canoe' ("pirogue'), and a kit that included "all the hard parts". I found this at

Well, the parts arrived and then the expoy stuff arrived from another internet seller and the process began. No pictures were taken of the early stages but after about 8 hours of labor, this is what it looked like:
At this stage, the rub rail, keel strip and breast hooks have not been installed. I went to a hardwood lumber supplier Cookeville, TN to get some local Poplar lumber for these.
