Jim Ocker's
Lake Havasu Fishing
Updated report
4/28/08- Although the day
started out with clear skies and later switched to cloudy, the bite never
changed. The Striper action was constant
all day today. Using nothing but ‘chovies,
we caught 20 Striper, a Channel Catfish and a hungry Smallmouth.

4/20/08- The wind was fresh
all day today with a few gusts approaching 30 mph. But the fishing was good. Keith and I caught Striper, Channel Catfish, Smallmouth
Bass, Largemouth Bass, Redear Sunfish and Bluegill. There were no periods when the bite was
“hot and heavy”. It was just
steady all day; and there were not many anglers on the lake either. It was just a great day! We kept a dozen Striper,
a dozen Redear, 2 Bluegill, 1 Catfish and only one Smallmouth Bass for “a
taste”. For perspective,
that’s a 5 lb. Striper in the middle of the Braggin’ Stick and the
largest Redear was just over 2lbs.

4/15/08- It was a very warm and comfortable spring
day today but the wind did come up about 1:00pm. Prior to that we caught about 30 Striper out
of which we kept 16 of them. All of the fish were taken with ‘chovies.

4/14/08- The bite started early this
morning. Aaron have
the first Striper hooked up before the rest of us got our lines in the
water. It was an active bite everywhere
that we fished. We finished by keeping 26 Striper out of 35 caught. It was just a great spring day!

3/24/08- The day started out
slowly but got better as the morning progressed. The early spring weather could not have been
any better with a high near 900.
We only kept one of the Striper that we caught and a dozen Redear
Sunfish.
