Jim Ocker's
Lake Havasu Fishing
Updated report
3/21/10- We started the day trolling lures for
Striper without success. So, we switched
to Redear fishing and managed to catch a half dozen ranging from 1-2 lbs. and 4
Largemouth as well. About 10:00am, we decided to try some Anchovy fishing
for Striper and finished the day with 9 fish from 2 1/2-5 lbs., and a trophy
fish that weighed 21.3 lbs.

Silas Brannon from Emily, Minnesota
3/17/10- The Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass are
very accessible. The Smallies have been
starting beds but the heavy tournament pressure has slowed the spawning
process. Female Largemouth Bass are
moving and feeding well in water somewhat deeper than the visible males. This 8.3 pounder
was blind in one eye and not as well fed as a healthy fish should be, so
she’s going “on the wall”.

3/10/10- Smallmouth Bass are moving well and
moving fish are catchable. Some are
starting to build visible spawning beds.
Redear Sunfish are also starting to become active but it is still quite
early for them.
