This primered 1948 Starlight Coupe with a 1950 front end was spotted at the NSRA Western Nationals in Bakersfield, CA. Note the reverse scoops at the rear of the hood. These allow hot air to be released from the engine compartment to keep the car from overheating, a common problem when late model V-8 engines are installed in Studebakers
