The following pages briefly explain some of my favorite let's-keep-the-cost-down
options for developing a presence on the Internet. Almost everything you
will see here (including this site) is template-driven, "themed",
downloaded as legitimate freeware (yes friend programmer,
your mark is still in my source-code), or just plain written by
an out-of-the-box code generator.
(This is a "Microsoft FrontPage" site, for
example.)
"Hand-Coded" does not necessarily mean "Better"
But it almost invariably does mean expensive.
For most of us, our Internet Presence is neither unique nor complex; why
should we hire an engineer to reinvent the "wheel" we'll use to
roll down the Information Superhighway when it's available "ready to
roll" from a number of vendors at a reasonable price?
