Wine tasting!
 If you attended the Cabernet Tasting with Scott Law, you know you're in for a treat on June 10 when he returns to present White Wines this time! The event will include a guided tasting of several different varietals with light appetizers in a congenial and relaxing atmosphere. $15 in advance, $18 at the door; tickets will be available online and at the bar beginning June 1. Don't miss it!
Last week:
Wednesday, Isaac & Caleb were joined by Shawn for some amazing vocals, while the Book Club enjoyed another delicious dinner by Sirens' Catering in the wine room.
Thursday we were entertained by "Third Seven," the "Mad Cello Scientist" from Bend, Oregon--a GREAT performance for a full bar, many of whom came specifically to hear Billy Mickelson again! The pizza was great, the weather fine, the people delightful, and the music outstanding. We hope Billy will be back through Kingman again on tour--he's always welcome to play here!

Friday was the KABAM poetry slam in front of Beale Street Brews, and we got to enjoy hours of original verse in the street. Then, inside The Cellar Door...the "Bahira" bellydancers mesmerized the standing-room-only crowd with sensuous moves and spectacular costumes, while the drummers stirred our blood with a tribal beat. This is a lot of fun--and we're doing it again June 30!

Saturday was crammed with activity, starting with the Wine & Food Festival at Firefighters' Park, "Big Boys Toys" and "Chillin' on Beale Street" in the road (and more at Metcalfe & Locomotive Parks)...and continuing into the night with "Family Magic" at The Cellar Door! The crowd was not huge, but very enthusiastic and D, Brenda, Don & new drummer Ramon (of "Piso Mojado" fame) rocked the house!

The 2nd Annual Kingman Wine & Food Festival was at least twice the size of last year's, with delicious local food, fun vendors & 8 different Arizona wineries (including Valle Vista's own Stetson Winery!) bringing a great selection of wines to taste. It was a beautiful day, with ideal weather and perfect music for the occasion provided by Richard Wilson, K Brick and "Black Lemon."
Thanks to these classy musicians for volunteering their time & talents to help raise money for the Mohave Community College Foundation!
