This page was last updated: December 28, 2003, 12/20/03 After the brief rest, the party heads up the spiral staircase at the back of the room. As the party nears the top of the stairs, they notice that it slopes up to connect with an overhead hatch. Mylina goes ecto-plasmic, and Makera makes her invisible so that she can go through the hatch and investigate what might be waiting for us on the other side of the hatch. Passing through the hatch she sees four human guards and Athor down the hall. Suddenly the four humans become Draconians, and Mylina comes back down to tell us. Lylia then tells us that there isn't anyone on the other side. Since Lylia has proven her intuition to be right on more than one occasion, the party agrees to follow her through the hatch, and upon exiting discover that once again she is right and there isn't anyone there. We moves down the hall to a pair of double doors. Lylia works her skills of infiltration, and we slip into the room without a sound when Dirst decides to light up the room by casting a light spell which, unfortunately, wakes up the four guards sleeping inside. The party moves to action. Makera casts a sleep spell and knocks them out, and the rest of the party ties them up to the bunks. Waking one of the guards we begin to interrogate him, and discover a great deal of information. The city is actually a human city, not Draconian. The city is slipped out of time, but there appears to be some ability to interact with our own timeline. There is a "power" that is controlling the city, and the magistrates name is Rillman. The symbol that the magistrate uses is a dove with crossed daggers. There are people in the city that don't like the situation, but can't do anything about it. The crystal that we have been investigating remains a mystery, but it is tied into the power that controls the city somehow. We learn that there is a military force of about 2,000 in the city. Thankfully it appears to be a militia of humans rather than Draconians. We decide to attempt to get away from the city first, whether that succeeds or not the next mission is to destroy the crystal, and the third mission is get back home. Dimak has a private mission which is to find Rillman.
