66 MUSEUM |
Since our museum opened in May of 2001, a
variety of individuals and groups have found different ways to enjoy
our facility.
Individuals General admission to the museum is $4 for adults. Seniors are $3. Children 12 and under are free with admission of an adult. Groups (10 or more people) The group rate for groups of 10 and larger is $2/person. Group fees can be handled directly between the staff and the group leader. Our theater can accommodate 20 persons. Larger groups can divide up and swap between the museum and the theater offerings. School Groups We do not charge an admission fee to school groups. Contact the Museum Director at rt66museum@citlink.net. We can aid your group by providing a tour guide or we can allow your class to take its’ own journey back in time. We do insist that all young persons be escorted by a responsible adult. As an educational enhancement, the staff has put together a list of questions in the form of Museum Hunt that is designed for the 4th – 6th grade level. The questions are designed to direct the student’s attention to the content on display. Individually, the list can engage a student for a half hour. Within the span of time that most groups are allowed to stay, the hunt is best handled by collaborative groups of 3-5 students. Adult involvement helps considerably. To obtain a copy of the Museum Hunt page email rt66museum@citlink.net Large Groups (more than 100 people) Groups of 100 persons can be accommodated by combining the museum visit with a concurrent theater showing, a trip down the block to the Mohave Museum of History and Arts and a visit across the street to Locomotive Park . The Bonelli House is another historic downtown attraction that can be considered. Visits to the Bonelli House are coordinated through the Mohave Museum of History and Arts at (928) 753-3195 or email museum@mohavemuseum.org. |
