Message from Jeff Rubenstein (Tiny’s husband):

Thank you for visiting this site.  I need your help.  On March 23rd 2009, my wonderful loving wife Tiny passed away comfortably and peacefully.

Some of you had the opportunity to spend enough time to get to know Tiny, some may have been only able to get a quick smile and a handshake, and some of you may have never had the opportunity to meet her.  You who were closest to Tiny know best what a special person she was.  We all benefited from the time we spent with her, but those who benefited the most by far are the many many many animals that Tiny rescued, treated, and cared for so passionately and generously over her too short lifetime.  At our peak, Tiny and her staff cared for 36 horses here, along with a variety of pigs, goats, sheep, cats, and dogs.  Some of the remaining horses are still young enough to be able to be ridden or driven, although most are living a comfortable life of retirement.

When Tiny was still actively caring for her horses here on her farm, I promised her that should anything ever happen to her I would do everything in my power to ensure that each of her horses is placed in an excellent home.  An excellent home is one in which the horse owner

·         Genuinely cares passionately about the health, safety, and comfort of the horse,

·         Demonstrates the experience, knowledge, and skills required to be able to provide appropriate care for the health, safety, and comfort needs of the horse, and

·         Has the financial wherewithal to be able to provide that appropriate level of care for the lifetime of the horse.

If you are such a horse owner – or if you know of one – who would consider helping me (and Tiny, and her horses) by offering an excellent lifetime home to one or more of the horses, then I would very much appreciate hearing from you.  Below you will find links to the Horse Placement Questionnaire as well as a Horse Descriptions document (with a page describing each horse that is available).  If you can help, please print out the questionnaire, fill it out, and send it to me at the address on the questionnaire.  Based on information I receive from completed questionnaires, I will proceed to the next steps in the process in order to match each horse with the best new home.

Please note that I am not placing prices on any of the horses.  Once a prospective new owner is qualified as offering the best home for a horse or horses, and that person agrees to all the conditions specified in our Placement Agreement, then the horse will be transferred to that new owner at no charge.  Under certain circumstances I may be willing to help with transportation expenses.
