Mike Campbell's (Grand
Slam, Certificate & Pin) using The (Daisy 717)
SCROLL DOWN

I
received a very pleasant surprise in the mail!! It just
goes to show that the NRA's record keeping is better than mine..
(No mean task!)
I
am now the proud owner of NRA Grand Slam Pin #103 for outdoor
air, any sight.

Howdy!
This Daisy pistol has been highly modified by its' owner. The air piston o-ring has teflon tape applied to the seat to tighten the seal, as is the stationary seal at the power valve. The Walther barrel is pinned to it's rear housing by a 4-40 set-screw to prevent the weight of the scope and mount from loosening the barrel alignment.
No conventional trigger stoning or honing can be done since the parts are too soft. The trigger has been moved to a set take-up position by another 4-40 set-screw drilled and tapped through the frame. Another set-screw controls trigger over travel. The cross-block safety had to be modified to allow the trigger pre-load. The power valve and other seals are stock.
The scope is a 4x12 Marksman airgun model on a custom mount that was made some time ago for this series of Daisy's, and is no longer in production.
