Sawn Material

Sawn materials are produced in two thicknesses: 2 ¼” and 1”.  The 2 ¼” material is sawn top and bottom, one back edge, and rock faced one long edge and two short edges.  This material is used for mantels, sills, coping, hearth stones, step treads, and many other uses.  The are sold in 6”-24” widths and random lengths.  The widths are by two inch increments.

The 1” material or flooring is used mostly for floor tile, but can be used for other purposes.  The 1” flooring is cut into 6” multiple patterns.  Sawn Bed Rubble is also produced from large blocks of stone cut 2¼”, 5”, and 7¾” and has been sawn top and bottom with a broken face and ends.  Sawn Bed Rubble is broken on a 4” wall depth and covers approximately 50 s/f per ton.
