Six RV's from the Mavericks converged on the Town of Gold Rock in the middle of the desert in Southern California for a few days of Fun in the Sun.

Members in attendance were Ron & Barbara Clark, Leonard & Laurina Larson, Vern & Trish McGlynn, Fred & Shirley O'Camb, Bob and Bobbie Richards and Jeep & Audrey Schiffert. Guests were Don & Nate Conrad from Enterprise, Oregon, Richard Greathouse from Sacramento, CA and Barbara's sons John & Tony from San Diego, CA. John & Tony stopped by in their sandrail after an outing at the adjacent Imperial Sand Dunes National Recreation Area.

The weather was great, temperature in the mid 80's during the day and the lower 60's at night. We shopped the Yuma department stores and outdoor swap meet. Crossed the border to the Mexican border town of Algodones for additional shopping. Late afternoons and evenings were spent socializing. A good time was had by all.

Thanks to our hosts, Bob & Bobbie and Ron & Barbara for coordinating this visit and for the fine hearty breakfasts they served.
