WEST  ALMANOR  COMMUNITY  SERVICES  DISTRICT


The West Almanor Community Services District (WACSD) supports the
Lake Almanor West development in several ways, but its principal and  most
obvious role is fire protection.  The West Almanor Fire Department  
consists of a full-time Fire Chief plus about a dozen volunteer fire fighters,
operating out of our own fire hall on Long Iron Drive.  The Department is
equipped with two fire engines, one rescue truck, a command vehicle
 and a fire / rescue boat.  The Department responds to emergency calls
issued by the 911 dispatcher, not only within the development but also
in the nearby surrounding areas and on adjacent highways.
