The WPA made an index to the Lassen Advocate covering 1916 to 1927. Eventually, it is the intention, to make this valuable resource available on line. Yet, it is a massive index, so it’s a project for the future. In addition, someone in the 1950s, indexed this newspaper’s forerunner the The Sagebrush and that index spans the years of 1868 through 1871 and that will be the first index to go on line.
