Amedee Cemetery

Information compiled by Tim I. Purdy - March 11, 1991

The Amedee Cemetery is located in eastern Honey Lake Valley, near the old ghost town of Amedee, approximately 25 iles southeast of Susanville.   The cemetery is located on property.   However, in 1955 Thomas W. Ogilvie, Lassen County Surveyor, surveyed the cemetery.   Ogilvie's map contains 79 plots, besides that of the existing graves.   There are no markers at this cemetery.   Research indicates that there were no more than eleven burials.   Those known to be buried there are:

Mabel Brubeck - died December 1898, age 12 years.

Infant girl Johnstone - no dates

Infant boy Rogerman - no dates

Bob Isigheit - no dates
